Lee
was born on April 30, 1987, two months premature at Westchester Medical
Center weighing in at 4LBS and 6OZ.
His Mother arrived at Westchester Medical Center by ambulance from
Catskill Regional Medical Center at approximately midnight, as a high risk
pregnancy. Lee was born at 3:47AM.
Within that time frame, the umbilical cord became wrapped around his
neck which cut off his oxygen supply thus causing his disability of Cerebral
Palsy.Lee now resides in
Sullivan County, New York - the
Town of Bethel where he works
full time at
The Center for
Discovery as a Communications Specialist in the Office of Information
Technology. Lee has been an active volunteer with the
American Red Cross in Greater New York
Since September 2001 and an active member of
Jeffersonville Volunteer First
Aid Corps as a NYS Certified First Responder since June 2005.
Recently, Lee obtained his certification as a Specialist in Emergency
Management (SEM) and is a member of the
National Association of Safety Professionals.
In Lee's spare time, he enjoys photography,
computer graphic, website design [website],
spending time with friends and family and providing disability education and
awareness to the general public.
In a recent interview, Lee said, "Everyone
has something . . . some people wear contacts or glasses, other people have
things that we can't see from the outside. It's my goal as someone who
lives with a disability everyday to provide as much awareness and education
as possible to those who don't understand what it's like to walk a day in my
shoes."
